Plywood Fronts in Gdynia

A plywood kitchen front replacement with round cut-out handles, coloured backplates and stainless steel worktops.

This project started with a kitchen that had already been made by a previous carpenter. Most of it was working well, but the plywood fronts had not been cut and finished in the right way, so they unfortunately had to be replaced.

Working with plywood means knowing how to cut, detail and finish the material properly — especially on kitchen fronts that are used every day.

We replaced the full set with new plywood fronts and added round cut-out handles with coloured backplates. The same round shape appears in other parts of the interior too, tying the whole space together.

We also made a floating shelf, designed to highlight the client’s amazing collection.

The round cut-outs are simple, but they work really well — even on the dishwasher front, where the handle needs to deal with daily use and a heavier pull.

The stainless steel worktops add a clean, practical surface against the natural plywood.

For the client, plywood was always the right material. They love its natural feel and the way it connects with the rest of their home and their love of nature.

Three years later, the kitchen is still working beautifully. The client would choose the same material again, and is now working with us on another piece for a different room.
