Dan approached us with his conceptual vision, developed alongside his architect. He provided sketches outlining the general layout, cabinetry quantity, and prospective materials and finishes. An essential part of our brief was to harmonize our design with the existing architectural elements of his space. We returned with a detailed estimate within two days, which Dan promptly approved after considering a few options we proposed.
Our standard procedure commenced with a site survey, ensuring accurate templates for our 3D models and later production. We quickly presented Dan with our preliminary sketches. Through a series of efficient online interactions and reviews, we finalized the layout, ready for production. Real-time 3D modifications during these online meetings were quite useful in achieving clarity and swift implementation of changes.
As we agreed on the functional design, we shifted focus to the finishes and details. A key challenge was integrating our kitchen with the existing plywood ceiling and structural timber. Dan selected a modified oak veneered plywood for its appealing grain. However, achieving the right shade and color required creativity. We custom-mixed our own stain, ensuring a seamless match with Dan’s elegant home. After experimenting with a few sample sets, we found the perfect match. We suggested varnished birch plywood for the cabinetry's interior and base, offering cost-effectiveness and compatibility with the kitchen's external elements.
The handle design was an adaptation of one of our previous creations, reimagined to complement this project's unique layout.
With all details, finishes, and layout confirmed, we began production. During this phase, we also crafted Formica laminated plywood worktops to enhance our kitchen design. The installation included both cabinetry and worktop fitting.
