A bespoke plywood kitchen with teak veneer fronts, custom wooden handles and Alicante Rosso marble worktops.
This kitchen was designed by interior designer Karina Fisun for her own home, with plywood at the core of the cabinetry — from the drawers and internal storage to the full-height units, pull-out trays and custom storage.
The teak veneer finish was chosen after reviewing over twenty samples on site.
The framed fronts add depth while keeping the kitchen clean and simple. Custom wooden handles were made to match the fronts, with a shape that feels good to use.
Every part of the layout had to be useful. The space beside the boiler became a concealed spice rack. Instead of using standard cargo mechanisms, we made bespoke plywood pull-out trays tailored to the kitchen.
The Alicante Rosso marble worktops were chosen with the same level of care. Karina was even ready to travel to Spain to see the stone in person before making the final decision.
